Yay.. I am reviving my blog again! Hopefully I don't start "masscring" all my entries again.. haha..

last 5 months in SOT have been a time of inspiration and transformation for me. really got me to see things in a different way...

i have learnt things the hard way; even though the Bible did warn me against certain decisions, i was not quick to read and obey...nonetheless, I believe this situation will turn out for good...

some relationships are not worth winning back for now i guess.

still, we ought to bless our enemies... by the fact that they are called enemies, means that we are not commanded to make peace at all costs. Peace must be balanced with TRUTH. No truth, no peace. Yet, we are to bless them...

Hello....

Might as well spend this time to blog. haha.. lecture hasn't started....

Last week was kinda slack... managed to catch up with some work and some ppl... things were not so stressed as the previous week. Thankfully it's all over!!! =)

In and out of season, things are good still....

Sometimes we get so caught up with situations, we fail to see the good of everything... that happened last week.. was getting too stressed out till i didnt really see how good things are... e.g.s:

1. in the midst of common flu, i didnt catch a flu...
2. managed to have 6 hours of good sleep every night...
3. have great friends, great company...

life is great lah... u just gotta open ur eyes to see....

God says, "He rejoices over you with dancing." What right do you have to be sad and say that it helps me grow closer to God?

Use your brain... God says "Reason with me..."

Choose to rejoice. Choose to stay happy.

Choose not depression, choose not discouragement.

Yay... i m removing the cobwebs of this blog again. hahaaa...

Was out with a few of my og friends , and we went back to school (oh man.. on a friday..) for post-mooncake festival party!! haha... it was quite nice lah... managed to meet up a few of them.... though i must really apologise that i didnt speak much... didnt really feel like talking ..haha... only crazy nadya and aloy kept mingling around me and made me feel much more welcome .ahaha thanks man... =D

I came across this word on three occasions for the past 36 hours. First, it was BS, when Gabriel talked about God being "Sovereign". Then it was political science lecture, when Dr. Erik talked about the sovereignty of states. Then it was History tutorial.. when Dr. Kelly expounded on the legitimacy of shoguns and the sovereignty of the emperor. ARGH! Haha...

TIme to do some solid reflections about the past week...

School is as per normal. Lectures without tutorials are already killing me. Guess it's because I haven't been studying for the past 2 years. Struggling quite a bit in catching up in History and Political Science lectures. Ah well...

Sis brought up a good revision strategy. Maybe I should heed her advice... might be able to save time and study more efficiently...

Had an interesting conversation with Wenrui on Thursday over lunch at school canteen. As we were walking, he randomly said, "University time... best time to get a girlfriend..."

For that split second, my mind froze...

Recently, it seems that my friends around me keep talking about boy-girl relationships, getting attached, (even) getting married (!). Ah well..

I think I will follow Wenrui's stance to this issue, after I asked him if he has one...Haha!

It's good to be single...

but not too long....

Hello...

It has been a while since I really blogged... so hear goes my rantings for this week...

Well, first up, it's not really a ranting... but prayer meeting is awesome!!! Hahas. It is Day Four of the 2 week season of prayer that church has been moving towards, and though it was physically challenging to wake up every morning at 540 just so that I can reach church at 7, it was a fruitful experience cos' you get to get in tune with what Pastor's vision is, and what God is going to do through the church and all. Yeah... I hope to last through the 10 days... 6 more to go... wheee~

School started about 2 weeks ago. Orientation Week, or O Week in short, was really an eye-opener for me. Tough I have attended orientation camps when I was in secondary school and in JC, nothing can quite beat the experience of University Orientation. Gotta know quite a lot of people... my OG "Ta-Ching" is obviously one of the most happening OGs! Yeah man! Haha.

Okay... gotta go for now. going in to LT for lecture.... Ciao...

My blog is half-dead... have been quite lazy to update it... but now that I am a lil freer... here i go...

I went to NUS today for my registration. It was a day of administrative work, exploration, and we had to carry loads of orientation bags...tired tired.. haha...

Oh my... can't believe that I have quite a number of people I know in arts fac... saw this girl who I see in church every week, and she's in Arts too! Don't get any weird ideas ppl... I don't like anyone in church ... for now.. haha...

My back is killing me!!! All the sunburnts all over my body is making me crazy... help!! Haha... but it was worth it... am glad that the four gals enjoyed themselves on Sunday. =D

Hmm... was wondering.. should I get a new laptop soon? Now that matriculation fair is still on, maybe I should get it now for a low price... but then, I already one laptop already... but it moves like a tortoise! hmmPPHhh..

Me and my crazy sister, on a tu-tu car, waiting for the driver to pump gas into his car. Apparently, gas ran out halfway during the journey.

the place where all girls (and some guys) like... Platinum, a 7-storey high shopping centre with over 1,300 shops for you to choose from. Prices of items are so low, most items don't exceed 15 Singapore Dollars.

Thailand's traffic was crazy. Thank God for tu-tu cars. They manoevre around easily...

Just came home from chilling-out with Lijia. We had a very interesting conversation about life, church, friends, and our personal lives...

To be honest, I never thought that Lijia was a person who would want to meet me personally up. After all, I "promised" him that a few more others will meet him up, but it turned out that I was the only one around. But he still agreed to meet up. We met up at Essential Brew's. It was good, cos' I saw a different side of Lijia. In the past, (Lijia, I hope you are not reading this.. haha) I always think that Lijia is not the sociable kind of person, quite dao and all... but I realise that if you talk to him one-on-one, you will realise that he is quite approachable.

CAPACITY!!! that's the word that has been ringing in my head recently. How big is your capacity? Can you handle extreme pressure, or are you quick to push the blame to others when the heat is on...? How much pressure can you take? I think it is time to "lengthen my cords"... and expand...

!!Love rEVOLution!!.. woosh. camp is coming really soon! Getting kinda excited as to how God is going to move in this camp.... He always surprises me during camp. The unexpected will always happen in youth camps... =D LOUD Camp is happenin' 2nd June-4th June! =Dwoosh!!!!

i was rushing my way down to meet a few friends (17 of them actually) at marina square, and I learnt something...

As I was already already late for the gathering, I walked frantically trying to locate the restaurant. I was told that it is "next to John Little". So here I was, walking around the whole of marina square, trying to recall where is John Little in Marina Square...

Out of desperation, I cried out to God in my heart...

"God, show me where's John Little...!"

He didn't answer me verbally.

I carried on my search, and out of a sudden, I see a huge sign which reads,

"JOHN LITTLE #02- ..."

The sign was right in front of me all these while. While looking at all directions, I forgot to take notice of my front view...

Lesson learnt:
Sometimes we can be so anxious about everything, that we miss the solution that is right in front of our very eyes.

Chill... everything will be alright. =)

It's been a while since I updated how I have been. I have been writing pretty random stuff, so now it's time for a serious blog...

Today is Labour Day! I was out the whole day . Met up with Andrew Yan for tuition at his place... and then I was off to 2nd Uncle's place. It's his birthday today, and he may not be reading this ,but HAPPY BIRTHDAY DI PEH!! =D

then I was off with Ian to his place for tuition. On the way, we were on my 6th uncle's car. My youngest cousin, Ryan was on the car and he started to play Avril Lavigne's CD on the car... and he started singing the song "Girlfriend" and "When you are gone". And guess how old is he? NINE! Nope you have not read wrongly. He's only NINE, and he is singing Avril Lavigne's songs...

Kids these days...

After a 1 an a half hour tuition with Ian, I rushed down to Woodlands to meet up Vincent. We had a very good dinner, and it was a really great time talking about stuff. Really gotta know him quite a bit and how he thinks about stuff... I felt that if I could, I would have stayed on until late at night... got a lot of stuff to talk about ...

Life is so exciting...

today was a day of loving... cos' i spent a lot of money on gifts... hahhaa.. was out with my sister at somerset area... bought mama and papa their birthday presents... papa's birthday is on 6th april, and mama's on 8th april... time really flies.. it was elaine's birthday 1 week or so ago,.. oh yar.. i also bought shu xian's present... (if i m not wrong her bday is today or coming soon le.. happy birthday shuxian=D )

went to eat at some jap restaurant with elaine for dinner... my treat! gosh, where can you find such a generous brother like me? anyway... just kidding.. felt i owe her one treat.. so decided to eat something more ex today. both of us agreed after eating, that we are quite sick and tired of jap food already. (Wah liew.. of course la.. we ate Sakae for Elaine's birthday celebration dinner leh! Gosh...jap food and jap sushi make me sick )

I felt really satsified after buying papa's present. In my opinion, I think we made a really good choice... we chose to buy him a Parker Pen with his name engraved on it. yay!=D

today was another fun day for me.

I left office at 6 to rush down to expo to lay chairs at hall 1. My first time laying chairs at hall 1. In fact, other than one of the prayer meetings, it was my first time doing ANYTHING at all.. in Hall 1. Good experience... they played Jay Chou's album over the sound system leh! Wah... aizai.. i m falling in love with the Sound MInistry ppl le. haha. Got one song they played "Wu Shuang", they purposely increased the volume... wah... high-ness sia... sounded like some rock concert...

I left at 910 to meet eugene at city hall area... didn't do much.. in fact, we were quite lost as to what to do, so we walked around marina square, where most of the shops have closed... and we walked to suntec and off we headed to mrt... talked a lot of stupid stuff, like the past when were in army and all... really great time we had... though to be honest i was quite tired after a while because of the walk and all..

I nearly broke my fast today. Supposed to fast 24 h.. and i am still fasting.. but Eugene wanted to bring me out for supper leh.. I thought... Tht's it la.. confirm must eat de lo.. but thank God... we didnt really eat in the end.. and i went home early. so yeah...

Tomorrow I am on LEAVE!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!! (Pam scoleded me for leaving early from expo cos' I m on leave, and I should have stayed longer... blah blah.. hahahaha.. ) Tomorrow is a good time to recuperate ... i need time to breathe in and out... too many things have been happening recently...

Today's time was...so FAST.... went down to my company Chairman's house for CNY lunch... he stays in a bungalow which he bought for 2.5 million.. and now it is worth 10 million dollars! wow... amazing...

then before i knew it, i had to rush down to church... thank God Bro. Kang Wei was generous enough to give me a lift from the Chairman's house to Orchard Station... Haha.. i thought he might drive me straight to church, but he had other things to do before driving his wife and kids down to church. Ah well..

Reached expo at 1.57pm. (I am early, Vincent!! I am early!!!) I met a new usher today! His name is Jiahong. So exciting!! Haha. Looking forward to working with him.. you know why I am so excited? Cos' he's from Mad's cell group!! Haha.

Just bathed. Just finished eating my Dinner... yeah.. .dinner. at 11:40pm.

Took a cab home from work. Overtime work today.

Hopefully I can claim my cab fare. Or else,...

Oh ya.. the cab driver (or cabbie.. that's wht he called himself) entertained me throughout my journey home. He started talking about life and all... and at first I was really not in the mood in talking.. I mean... who would bother talking to anyone at all when you are tired from work and just left office at 1055pm. But his tone and mood and enthusiasm captured my attention. He is really a friendly guy, a Malay, probably married with a few kids... I believe he is working another job outside... maybe doing cab-driving to supplement his income. He is one happy-go-lucky guy, and that was what I was amazed. I thought that the only words a cabbie driving at 11pm will probably be "Where are you going?" and "$11.40, sir." But no, he was excited to converse and socialise.

Many of us Christians, myself included, are so dead. We go through life as if it is an endless routine. When we approach the presence of God, we don't get excited to serve God, and to engage Him. We sulk at everything we do, as if the whole world owes you a living. We don't get "happy-go-lucky" over life, and we are not friendly toward the people we serve. We are not anticipating about life.

That cabbie taught me a lesson. A small but important one: stay excited... about your life. =D

today is a good day at work. i felt such a good sense of accomplishment. My table has 5 boxes of paperwork to be cleared, and i am now left with only ONE. ONE!!!! O-N-E~~~ hahaha so happy la. together with one of my temp staff, we cleared 4 BOXES of paperwork! i told Eva my colleague about it, and all she can give me is this hysterical laugh~. lol!...i guess she's too happy for me already.

I went to the gym again. It has been a while since I last went. I am really glad I had, cos' I felt much better after it. =D

Gosh. It's 3 days since the New Year, and people all around me are still wishing each other happy new year. arh well...

my first post of year 2008.

this year's countdown was one of the most interesting countdowns. we counted down on our way to the bus stop... haha.

thank God for 2007. thank God that despite everything, He's still there. =D

thank God for 2008. I know He has great plans for me this year. I don't know what exactly, but I know He will do something new.

come to think of it, I wondered how I survived 2007. It was really a year of challenge for me. There were many down points in my life, but I really am glad that I went through it. I am now stronger because of all the trials.

It really is amazing, that sometimes when you are at your lowest point in your life, and when you think you cannot make it anymore, and God showed up. He didn't show up in Spirit form (most of the times). He didn't send an angel to lift me up. He sent people. Humans. Normal, ordinary people to lift me up when I am down, cheer me up when I am sad, encourage me when I feel lost, love me when I don't feel loved. Wow! Looking back, 2007 was really a wonderful year. it wasn't so bad after all.

i guess i had been relying on my fleshly nature to solve things, without considering what God would say or do in that situation. Had been over-confident, self-reliant, and probably too prideful to admit it.

basics. if you don't master the basics, you can't move on to the next level. that's what my driving instructor said. haha. it wasn't a compliment; it was a straight lecture from him while i was on the road. =( but it's true. if you can't even master your basics, how can you move on to greater things?

similarly, if you can't master the basics of reading the bible, prayer, tithing, fasting... how can you move on to greater things like prophecy and healing and apostleship? =)

Jesus commands us to "do the FIRST works". In other words, let's start from the basics.

went out to celebrate thad's bday with cg today. haha. it was fun... until...

1. i started feeling cold
2. my throat starts to ache terribly...
3. i started feeling my stomach cramping...
4. i cannot see anything clearly for more than 5 metres...
5. i started tripping and falling down on the floor on my way out to the bus-stop (so paiseh)
6. i tripped in front of tricia and pam twice in two different occasions, all in one day..
7. i started feeling a little agitated and weak at the same time..

okay.. maybe point 4 was cos' of my contact lens, but... yes.. have you guessed it? i am running a temp now. grrr... so cold... and i m feeling really weak. if you can, please remember to pray for me yeah? my camp Breakaway is in two days' time!
